I have over twenty-five years experience in writing, editing, and proofreading. I have published hundreds of articles for magazines, written Web site content, and authored a long-standing newspaper column. I have owned and edited four publications, and have helped start four magazines. I have edited hundreds of manuscripts over the years on a wide range of subjects, and have written an equal number of articles.

I grew up in a family of editors and writers, and was surrounded throughout my youth with writers, authors, editors, and publishers, and what a crazy, eclectic pack of whackos they were. But each left their mark on me, and each taught me something new about the craft of writing and editing (besides drinking bourbon at two in the afternoon).
